Growth does not happen out of shame. Beating yourself up, obsessing over your faults, and scrutinizing your mistakes does not create the foundation for healthy self growth. Holding onto these things will only weigh you down.
Instead, growth is born out of self forgiveness and acceptance. It’s embracing every part of you, even the parts that aren’t so perfect. When you meet yourself where you’re already at, you’ll be in a much better position to nurture your self growth.

First, you need to acknowledge that none of us (that includes you!) are perfect. We all make mistakes. I’m sure you’ve heard this saying time and time again, but you need to really believe it, because it’s 100% true.
